My life has gone though some major changes lately.

I once listened to a podcast where the host was talking about the full plate concept. We tend to want to just keep piling on, but as we do, something always falls off.

In my case, I realize something has to change, and priorities need to be shifted so that the important ones don't "fall off" my plate.

I love photography. I love the planning, the composition, the lighting aspects, the back end of the business, the art. However, things like homeschooling, amongst other necessities, must take a front seat at this time.

I'm not giving up photography, but simply laying it down for a season.

As a Christian, the passage of scripture regarding seasons is such a calming reminder for me to just take a breath and see life as ups and downs and seasons of stillness and seasons of change.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1

What does all this mean for Amanda Byrd Photography?

I'll be back! I'm not sure when that is, but will.

If you had planned a session with me, I will honor that. My business payment software will not be concluded until October 24th, 2023.

I will still be booking until that date.

I am sending this blog post to only the clients that have booked me and supported me during these last 8 years.
